Effects are mostly garbage to show in Blender as they are non animated by design. So its just a static mesh. Why some textures appear to be transparent tho, i have no idea. maybe its the dds version used.

So i imported "SpellForce 2 Anniversary Edition\SpellForce 2 Demons of the Past\base\gfx\figures\boss\figure-boss_sorvina.drs"

looks good for me.

And animations are added if .ams file is in the same folder.
To play them just press Space. if ...

Just in case: some data will be lost after import/export of the animated parts of them buildings (_addon.drs models)
Issue is known, it is related to weird _shapeOrig nodes in the file structure.
As far as I can see, node ID for such entries are unique for each building.

It is of no effect if ...

Hi there

Im the creator of the Battleforge Blender Plugin to import and export DRS files. And as we all know Spellforce 2 DRS files are kinda similar with extra salt. Anyway, I ported my plugin into a new project just for your Spellforce 2 needs.

That's my plugin. I made a separate Branch for Spellforce 2 called Spellforce. It's a work in progress, but you can load most models in Blender. Like I said, my main focus is on Battleforge right now.

If there's ever need to create new objects from scratch for Spellforce 2 within blender, hit me up. Someone can surely adapt my Plugin.
I don't have the time for that now, full focus on Battleforge Plugin 👍🏼

Why do they use like 10 different model types. Looks like they were in the middle of a process to find the right way to save models and finally for Battleforge they found their way 😅
