Is there some way to remove the automatic buffs to the hero? Every attacker gets holy wratch and you do triple damage.
This makes the game trivially easy, even on very hard. Like my hero solos a whole map. I noticed it to late in my campaign that it's permanent and for the whole game, and now I'm ...

Re: SpellForce 2 Hardware Patch
OK I "fixed" it.
I basically made my settings how I want them, save them, then take that confog xml file safe it somewhere else. Then apply the patch and then hard copy my settings to teh newly generated one and save it.
I just can't go to settings ingame and safe them, or I need to appyl the ...

Re: SpellForce 2 Hardware Patch
very interesting, I found out what triggers it!
CHanging the settings. Liek I apply the patch, then go to settings and mak emy usual settings that I want. That somehow breaks something. If I dont go into settings I can close and start as I want.
This is so weird. How can I fix this?

Re: SpellForce 2 Hardware Patch
I switched to the gold edition in the beta tab before doing the patch.Xian wrote: Sun 5. Oct 2025, 23:00
That sounds like the game overwrites its patches files and settings with something corrupted.
Are you using Steams bugged Anniversary Edition and Steamcloud overwrites the files every time?

Re: SpellForce 2 Hardware Patch
Hi I have a weird problem with the patch.
It works, but only starting once. So I patch the game, start the game and it works. But if I close it and start it again, I get a blackscreen and my TV says unsupported resolution problem or something like that and alt+tab I can go to my desktop again, then ...

Re: SF Platinum Edition - (native) High Resolution Mod + Healthbar Fix
I found it out myself.
I deinstalled 1.54. Installed 1.61 to just launch into the game and go to settings. created my desired config.lua and saved it.
Difficulty settings are stored like this:
UserInterface =
{
GameMode = 2,
}
0 = normal (default setting)
1 = easy
2 = hard

Re: SF Platinum Edition - (native) High Resolution Mod + Healthbar Fix
Just check the "SpellForce" folder in your "Documents" folder directly in your "user" folder. Thats the file with not that many lines.
There its just 1-4 number editing.
There are only the saves stored (.sav files)? And those save files can't be edited to my knowledge. The config.lua is ...

Re: SF Platinum Edition - (native) High Resolution Mod + Healthbar Fix
Thats sadly normal when you have values applied to the game that are outside the normal game code range. Manualy edition the config.lua is sadly the only option.

i meant the activity log of the setup of the mod-patch.
After installation you can simply click "back" and copy & paste the log out of the box.
Oh and can you provide me a savegame where you have this issue?
