SpellForce 2 Hardware Patch

hi,

Always fails, is admin, is even in spellforce folder. Deactivated my antivirus and everything. Extended logging active, every time it fails it gives these exact errors:

Access to D:\System Volume Information denied!

Seems like something is blocking it. Please make sure its not blocked by some windows privacy settings or over aggressive antivirus.

Firewall is off. Antivirus is off. I wouldn't know what else could be blocking it still.

We could solve the issue by terminating a directory/path on my steam-drive that crashed the search engine

I'm having a little trouble after installing the patch, for some odd reason it doesn't seem to be updating my in-game resolution to my native resolution.

I am able to freely switch between the four default options in-game but if I set it to my native resolution of 1080x1920 it defaults to 768x1024.

The software had no issues finding the Gold Edition in my folders or applying it, the only issue I seem to be having is the resolution itself. Any thoughts?

When the scaling/new resolution is applied you can no longer access the ingame settings or it will reset it, because the game can not display the new applied resolution data because of its restricted database.

Hey,

I joined here because my Steam version of game doesn't start... I did every trick I have found in the internet - adding the beta version in settings, changing compatibility to Windows XP SP 2. I have downloaded the hardware patch (and successfully installed I think) and camera bug patch and still nothing. I click either on the logo from dekstop or "play" in Steam - it is "thinking" for 2-3 seconds and do nothing.

Is it possible to do something more? My system is W11 x64
