That sounds like the game overwrites its patches files and settings with something corrupted.
Are you using Steams bugged Anniversary Edition and Steamcloud overwrites the files every time?
I switched to the gold edition in the beta tab before doing the patch.
But did you deactivate the steamcloud and making sure there are no files in your "My Documents" folder from the corrupted version?
If it only happens after ending the game, it must be changed game files that the patch is not responsebile for anymore.

very interesting, I found out what triggers it!
CHanging the settings. Liek I apply the patch, then go to settings and mak emy usual settings that I want. That somehow breaks something. If I dont go into settings I can close and start as I want.
This is so weird. How can I fix this?

OK I "fixed" it.
I basically made my settings how I want them, save them, then take that confog xml file safe it somewhere else. Then apply the patch and then hard copy my settings to teh newly generated one and save it.
I just can't go to settings ingame and safe them, or I need to appyl the patch again, which then resets the settings again.
So no more settings changing, but at leats it works :)
Quite similar to what I had to do for SF1 lol.
