Hello. I am having issues getting this mod to run, though I remember using it just fine previously.
Specifically, I'm getting the "screen freeze on startup" bug even if I choose the second install option (windowed, classic resolution). I just want to fix the health bars TT
Am I correct to presume that the only way to make it work is to downgrade the drivers? Or, is there something I'm missing
When you select the "healthbar-fix" option a big info/warning message pops up, what is also explained in the manual PDF about a GPU specific driver version. I would recommend reading it, or use "classic resolution windowed mode" if you not want to use that.

Freaking awesome patch!
I played all those years without knowing there should be healthbars.
High resolution does not work for me with fullscreen, but that is probably due to 16:10 aspect ratio of my PC.

Its a driver version issue. (See post above you or the manual pdf)
You can solve it by playing classic windowed mode or by installing the compatible driver version.

The high resolution mod is great, but the healthbar fix doens't work for me. I patched the exe file, but there are still no healthbars. Anything else looking fine.
Using the gog Version 1.54 with your 1.8 Version. Nividia Driver is up to date.

nvm... just found more infos on this. So i guess thats still the case if using 4k resolution its not possible to have a healthbar over the portraits....
in some of the harder fights this is a problem as it costs much time selecting the right unit to heal when there are 70 units on the same spot.....

You can use the 3rd option in the setup to use the max-native resolution and stretch it to your desktop resolution, or simply set your desktop resolutiuon to 1280 X ???. Then you also have healthbars also on portraits.
otherwise just have them selected and in view at all times.

Ah ok but this way, the resolution and the quality of the textures will be worse?
I installed the upscaled textures from the High Res Mod and don't want to miss them :-)

Thats personal taste depending to be honest. You can apply any other mod you want with this one. Thanks to the own seperate mod-exe, the game can be modded with other mods too without any incompatibilitys.
