Hi,

alright i have good and bad news for you:

The good news :
I found the issue! looks like the map of your game version has no light or daytime information set, and no giving the game nothing visual to render.
On savegame where the proper map is cached in the savegame, all works fine (see attachments).

The bad news :
Sadly this seems to be saved as a state in your savegame with no way to reset or change it outside of restarted the whole playtrough.

I am very sorry, but the edition of the game you play right now, has this bug hardcoded in.
You can still try out the attached savegame and see thatn it can work on your end if the bug was not saved in.

Thank you I will check this save later and let you know if it fixed. So that I will have to start the Dragon Storm campaign from the beginning and it should fix itself or play from another platform? I will add that I tried to enable the game via steam and gog and there was the same problem. The worst thing is that they updated to Anniversary Edition and it works even worse and there are bugs. Sometimes there are also bugs related to graphics that all of a sudden buildings turn black and lighting on the map breaks, also there is a problem with languages for example Polish characters are replaced by pink rectangles. Oddly enough, the disc version of Shadow of War did not have such problems.

Well, it seems this issue was introduced with the gold edition (2.01). So If you only have the game in digital form, there is no way to get a version without it.

I managed to avoid this bug by installing SF2 SW (1.02) by retail disc and then apply the addon SF2 DS (2.00) by another disc.
Funfact: Gold Edition does have these issues (and Anniversary Edition), because of a so called "restauration project" that was created by the comunity to fix some SW bugs introduced with DS, but broke even more along the line. This was applied to the Gold Edition in 2008 by JoWood without any quality checks.

So yeah, the only way to avoid this bug is to play a fresh DS campaign on 2.00 with no additional patches.
Will add this to my todo list for a SF2 Gold Community Patch project. Oh yeah.. the work never ends here.

Also try to avoid non ascii letters (english latin alphabet) these seem to cause loading bugs too.

I loaded your save and the location on your save loaded normally, I went back to my save and on my save it doesn't work XD

yeah the bug is sadly saved in your savegame . All what you can do is sadly only to walk through it blind right now.

As i said, i added to my project list a potential patch for this issue. Sadly won't have time to work on it until the end of this year.
I still hope you will manage somehow.

I was wondering if I should go back to Gold Edition on steam and install the bug fix camera patch and hardware patch and see if it gets fixed, but it always takes a couple of hours to wade through that mission and I don't know if it makes sense to do that.

like already said, won't help much if you can not get version 2.0 .
