Looking for a Save Game Around The Citadel / Realm of the Gods (Demons of the Past)

I’m currently playing SpellForce 2: Demons of the Past, and I’ve been having a great time with it. I really enjoy this game and would love to finish the campaign.

Unfortunately, I’ve run into a game-breaking problem. During the main story, I entered The Citadel from Realm of the Gods for the first time. After completing most (or all) of the quests in The Citadel and attempting to return to Realm of the Gods, the game crashes every single time during the loading screen with an "Access Violation" error.

I have already tried everything I could think of:

Loading earlier saves
Using saves from before entering The Citadel
Verifying and reinstalling the game
Removing configuration files
Testing different settings and compatibility options

Sadly, nothing has solved the problem. The game always crashes when loading the next map, and I seem to be completely stuck.

So I would like to ask the community:

Does anyone happen to have a save game for SpellForce 2: Demons of the Past, preferably around the Realm of the Gods / The Citadel part of the campaign?

Even a save that is slightly before or after this section would be extremely helpful and would allow me to continue the story without replaying the entire game.

I would be very grateful for any help or save files you can share.

i hope you did remember to apply the community patch, or you will experience even more issues in the future:
