V1.52 Spellforce 1 by Mordo + Mod Extensions

Dear community,

Attached you'll find the original Mordo's mod re-uploaded, from the old Spellforce Fan Forum (deleted in the past).
I have implemented two extension variants starting from this mod (one is hard cheating), more information is provided below.

What I provided with the Extended Variant is a more simpler, relaxed play style with easier difficulty for Campaigns or Free Game.

I've structured the information of these 3 mods as it follows:


General information
- The content from Mordo was provided for free. I'm not the author of the original mod, however, I'm the author of the 2 extensions that start from it;
- In posting the mods, I considered fair use because of the original free content. If not agreeable with the original author, it can be considered to keep or remove this post;
- My extended mod starts with the changes from Mordo, it also includes reduced difficulty for searching for spells;
- My changes are adding to this more balanced spell parameters (mostly original with improvements), adjusted item stats for many items, more powerful heroes and others;
- Overall I kept the original game mod and maps (from Mordo) and improved the parts only in GameData.cff;
- Hard cheating possibility is also included with a separate 3rd gamedata file;
- Original variant was tested by Mordo for the DVD version (1.52). I further developed the mod for the same version 1.52. Not sure if works on newer versions (1.54 or later) without errors.
- I used only the Gamedata Editor for editing the gamedata from Mordo:

*PLEASE READ BEFORE USE* Issues & Other information:
- Manashield is working;
- Fire/ice shield, conservation only works on self for avatar;
- Revenge, Torture remained unchanged and have small influence;
- Prologue campaign with Tahira works (only tested brief, not sure if goes further), but Tahira has no longer the robe and the ring. Only the staff is equipped;
- If the game gets stuck after coming in Raven Pass from Blazing Mountains, find the small window (use ALT+TAB) with the error and click on "Ignore". The game should continue;
- Issue in Firefangs - don't let the man with half ring die because it will become unlootable and block the campaign permanently.
- Make sure it reaches the hut to combine the ring pieces and to give the shadow ring (?) to you.
- This issue is present due to changes from Mordo;

- In Colosseum, the old game (and also any mod from my archive) has issues with losing the round with Primal Force (or earlier/later) and becoming stuck, if rushed.
- Save before going there and after each round;
- Wait 1 minute each time after talking with Zerbo, to avoid the bugs;

- Tested from TOOD to SOTP. Tested only import from BOW to SOTP, but all campaigns should work as well as before modifications;
- I cannot provide support for the following reasons:
- My changes did go only to the item database and not to scripting (such as missions, triggers...);
- - As much as I've tested the database, I confirm no changes made by me will induce any error in any campaign, if played responsibly;
- I'm not the original author and I don't know any tool capable of changing names and more parts in the GameData.cff files, parts outside of the tool capability from the link above;

- Mod is generally compatible with original game characters (Free Game only);
- If you want to revert changes, backup separately the GameData.cff and map files from installation;
- No changes made by me for quests or maps. Maps are the same for all mod variants;




Description for all GameData.cff files, based on folders

01 - GameData - Mordo Original
(Spellforce by Mordo, the original changes made by Mordo)


Spells
- Catapult level 12 instead of Stone Rain level 12, for building demolishing;
- Powerful Iceburst/Wave/Blizzard instead of levels 18,19,20 Fog(?);
- Powerful Fireball instead of Elemental Essence level 20;
- Black tower extinct instead of Black Almightiness level 20;
- 5000 dmg. Death instead of Black Almightiness level 19;
- Cloak of Nor instead of Black Essence level 20;
- Summon Treant instead of White Almightiness level 20;
- Feet of clay now starts from level 10;

Maps
- There are new merchants in the first map (or first maps) from each campaign;
- Mobs were added for additional XP by Mordo. There is no need to farm to reach 30 (TOOD) or 50 (SOTP), the levels are reach even with hard rush cheating (5-15 minutes/map);
- *NOTE* if the XP or gold is too much, simply ignore a part of the Stonefists/Ferrymen or some chests;
- Compensations were made in XP: to simplify farming (or reduce to 0) and in available Gold: to reduce time for searching spell scrolls;



02 - GameData - Extended Mordo Mod
(extension based on Mordo's changes)



Overall changes in the extended mod

- Stats now require, for each used attribute:
- 47 for level 12 skills;
- 65 for level 20 skills;
- Can have light, heavy combats and one magic at level 20;

- Combat should now be closer to magic skills, for damage in time, especially for heroes;
- Level 13 & 14 Chain spells jump 5 times;
- Adjusted spell parameters, cooldowns, cost, damage...;
- Many items now have ice resistance and other magic resistance;
- Light/Heavy combat items, especially with skill level 20, are now better;
- Early/Late level items were improved - increased resistance, stats, fight/walk/cast speed and others, such as Spellmask, Udwin ring, Dragon armor, Amra armor...;
- Sun Lance (spear Lv. 16) - Now is level 18 spear, however, it should drop from level 16 item chests;
- Judgement of the Gods (spear Lv. 17) - Now is level 20 spear, however, it should drop from level 17 item chests;
- Lv. 30, 34, 39 and 47 robes have increased armor and resistances, also some minor stats improvements;
- Reduced iron cost for trolls;
- **Warrior Cord has the black tower extinct ability. Use the **Lemurian Eye ring to make use (Armorclass 3, condition level 1). With 2 rings he can cast 3 times.
- He is also very charismatic;


Spells

Roots
- Root target spell works now correctly on enemy, not on self;
- Area and target roots have lower cooldown. Maximum affected level is increased to 49(?);

Pestilence
- Increased maximum affected level in early levels and in late, affects up to 49;
- Careful on campaign, it can affect avatar if not level 50;

Charm Animal
- Maximum affected level for 20 spell is up to 48;

Black magic auras - weaken, suffocation, inflexibility, inability
- Effect percent is increased;

Self illusion
- Number of illusions was increased gradually and level 20 spell spawns 16 illusions;

Poison
- Higher damage, late cooldown is higher;
- Spell does not stack;

Area healing
- Higher manacost (late), higher cooldown;

Suicide Death/Heal
- For Death, damage and penalty increased. For Heal, penalty changed with a very small amount;

Almightiness
- Elemental: Higher damage, higher cooldown in late;
- Black: Higher damage and manacost;
- White: Low cooldown in late;
- Mental: Low cooldown in late;
- All: Manacost adjusted based on utility;

Essence
- Elemental: Higher damage;
- Black: Higher damage;
- White: Smaller cooldown in late;
- Mental: Very small manacost in early;
- All: Manacost adjusted based on utility;

Heroes
- Level of heroes, especially mages, warlocks and mentalists, has been increased. They have more useful abilities & skills;
- Changed hero abilities and skill points, more special abilities are now available:
- Ankthar has level 16 skills, Benvy has level 13 Eternity, Lukios has Flexibility instead of Fast Fighting (for balancing). Matricus also has Flexibility;
- Catlan is the highest level hero, with level 47;

- Due to increased stats for armor and some weapons, there could be no longer the need to buff combat avatars/heroes;
- Now it should be possible to finish SOTP only with mages;
- For SOTP, only Virginie and Falk are able to freeze enemies in late game;
- Made some hybrid heroes for SOTP (Tuuvar, Alahnna, Sunder, Ygor);


Special items (more powerful):
- **Ashdancer (2H staff, level 32) - Black Tower Extinct (effect)
- *Grey Wanderer (2H staff, level 47) - Pestilence Lv. 20 (effect)
- **Lemurian Eye - +750 mana, run +50%, cast +50% - For making Cord into the "Fallen Hero" unit with the black tower extinct;

Legend:
- *More powerful item, I don't see it as "cheat item"
- **Items for fun, may be seen as "cheat items"


03 - GameData - Extended Mordo Mod Cheat Mode
(Hard cheat mode)

- Ashdancer and Grey Wanderer staffs require level 1;
- Lemurian Eye gives huge stats;
- Cord can defeat Belial in combat if buffed with Eternity (equipped: Fist of Reaperman, 2 x Lemurian Eye)


Cheat mode items recommended to be equipped (only for testing campaigns/quests):
- ID 635: Lemurian Eye (Huge bonus to all stats, otherwise if no longer cheat mode ring is for Cord)
- ID 2324: Fist of Reaperman (For sale at Merchant Makram, but it is in Coloseum)
- ID 4456: Ashdancer (also for sale - Merchant of Gods)


All mod variants information:
- 500 resistance is enough for 100% change of resisting any spell;
- Dex and Int increase trigger chance for weapon effects;



In the attached archive you have:
- 1. Original mod from Mordo;
- 2. Extended game variant, changes start from the mod from Mordo;
- 3. Extended game variant (hard cheat mode), same as above but with changes to make very powerful avatar/heroes for testing purposes;
- Items for very fast game: Lemurian Eye, Ashdancer, Fist of Reaperman;
- Maps are common to each variant from above. I've provided also some bonus maps for Free Game some collected, some made by me. There are also Artmoney resources;

Installation
Copy the maps from each folder into the game directory with replacement
- Maps from "01 Order\TOOD by Mordo" will be placed in
- "Spellforce\map\campaign"
- Maps from "02 Aryn\BOW by Mordo" will be placed in
- "Spellforce\map\campaign2"
- Maps from "03 Phoenix\SOTP by Mordo" will be placed in
- "Spellforce\map\campaign3"
- Maps from "04 Free Game" will be placed in
- "Spellforce\map\lanfreegame"

GameData files
- For installation or switching between mods, copy one of the 3 provided GameData.cff files into "Spellforce\data", with replacement.

Legend:
- *More powerful item, I don't see it as "cheat item"
- **Items for fun, may be seen as "cheat items"


03 - GameData - Extended Mordo Mod Cheat Mode
(Hard cheat mode)

- Ashdancer and Grey Wanderer staffs require level 1;
- Lemurian Eye gives huge stats;
- Cord can defeat Belial in combat if buffed with Eternity (equipped: Fist of Reaperman, 2 x Lemurian Eye)


Cheat mode items recommended to be equipped (only for testing campaigns/quests):
- ID 635: Lemurian Eye (Huge bonus to all stats, otherwise if no longer cheat mode ring is for Cord)
- ID 2324: Fist of Reaperman (For sale at Merchant Makram, but it is in Coloseum)
- ID 4456: Ashdancer (also for sale - Merchant of Gods)


All mod variants information:
- 500 resistance is enough for 100% change of resisting any spell;
- Dex and Int increase trigger chance for weapon effects;



In the attached archive you have:
- 1. Original mod from Mordo;
- 2. Extended game variant, changes start from the mod from Mordo;
- 3. Extended game variant (hard cheat mode), same as above but with changes to make very powerful avatar/heroes for testing purposes;
- Items for very fast game: Lemurian Eye, Ashdancer, Fist of Reaperman;
- Maps are common to each variant from above. I've provided also some bonus maps for Free Game some collected, some made by me. There are also Artmoney resources;

Installation
Copy the maps from each folder into the game directory with replacement
- Maps from "01 Order\TOOD by Mordo" will be placed in
- "Spellforce\map\campaign"
- Maps from "02 Aryn\BOW by Mordo" will be placed in
- "Spellforce\map\campaign2"
- Maps from "03 Phoenix\SOTP by Mordo" will be placed in
- "Spellforce\map\campaign3"
- Maps from "04 Free Game" will be placed in
- "Spellforce\map\lanfreegame"

GameData files
- For installation or switching between mods, copy one of the 3 provided GameData.cff files into "Spellforce\data", with replacement.
