Could you maybe provide me a config file with the correct difficulty setting. Would apreciate a lot.
Just check the "SpellForce" folder in your "Documents" folder directly in your "user" folder. Thats the file with not that many lines.

There its just 1-4 number editing.

There are only the saves stored (.sav files)? And those save files can't be edited to my knowledge. The config.lua is stored in the install folder, and I don't see a difficulty settings line there.

I found it out myself.

I deinstalled 1.54. Installed 1.61 to just launch into the game and go to settings. created my desired config.lua and saved it.
Difficulty settings are stored like this:

UserInterface =
{
GameMode = 2,
}

0 = normal (default setting)
1 = easy
2 = hard

Good that you found it already, wanted to provide an example file, but you were faster.
