[MOD] 3rd person view

This mod for SpellForce 3 (Reforced -> all sub games) allows you to get a bit of the feeling back the classical SpellForce games of 1 and 2 allowed you to have with a deeper RPG Feeling thanks to the 3rd person view and direct character control.

This mod is included in the "SpellForce 3 - Universal Reforced Content Patch" (1.4).

After a system check that asures you to have strong enougn Hardware for this demanding mod/mode, this mod converts the "follower camera" to a 3rd person view direct unti controll of the selected unit/hero with WASD control like in the old SpellForce games (1 and 2).

Yes of course! It always was one of the key-features of the SpellForce series.

It was a native key-feature from the very start:

Only a certain "3rd" game (only by name, not by design) did not pay attention to it, since its focus was MP-RTS with console support from the very start.

Camera Rotation Workaround.

While using 3rd person view mod default way of rotating and tilting your camera is by pressing your mouse wheel and than "dragging" the camera until you achieve your desired point of view.

But some of you might prefer or be used from other games to control movement and camera rotation from keyboard.
It just seems so natural to walk with WSAD and look around with QE keys.

Unfortunately if you change from top view to 3rd person view the rotation of camera is reversed.
So the key that rotated camera to the left in top view rotates it to the right in 3rd person view.
(If you want specifics about why it is that way ask NeoX.)

Normally the only option to fix that would be to constantly go to the Options than Controls

But this is not practical.

Luckily in my brilliance I found a workaround to this problem.

First you map your rotation keys on Control scheme A
Rotate Left: Q
Rotate Right: E
And in reverse on control scheme B
Rotate Left: E
Rotate Right: Q

After that You map on both schemes:
Toggle follow camera: Z
Switch active control scheme: X

Lastly you just press both keys while switching between the views and your rotation direction stays constant.

You will still need to press and drag mouse wheel to tilt the camera especially when the game slowly tilts it back to 45°, so you always look at ground and to prevent you from seeing that there is no sky and no sun.
