conformation code not working

I found an article that said to move install.log to desktop and it worked I was able to uninstall the game however when I installed it from scratch the install went fine but it never asked for the Key, just went to the "Your temporary key has expired. If you believe this message is in error, please contact the program's author".

What if you edit the key in your registry manualy to the one i linked you? Maybe that will solve it.

ok found spellforce in reg edit-shows this (Default) REG_SZ under data it says (value not set)
next line is New Value #1 REG_SZ

lets do the following:

1. navigate in your regedit to here:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\SpellForce
2. import the Reg-key i have attached to this post or recreate it manualy:

SpellForce_Platinum_reg_key_tree.jpg

Then you should be good to go!

reg added successfully but am still getting this message when I start the game. "Your temporary key has expired. If you believe this message is in error, please contact the program's author". I cannot figure this out as this is a boxed edition not a trial or whatever. Is there an uninstaller that will search everywhere and do a thurough clean of the game so I can do a new install.

I am wondering what exact version you have. Can you make a photo of it and upload it here? Not that its just the Gold Edition and not the Platinium one.

I do not see on the box/dvd/manual or quick start manual a version number . where can I find it? Also I downloaded the patches for the 3 gammes but have not used them not knowing if they are needed. they are patch v1_11.exe/v138.exe & v152a.

Just make a photo, then we can see what version it is.
